Analysis of residential properties going under contract (contingent) in Charleston SC during week of 9/16/16-9/22/16:

  • 296 residential properties went under contract this past week. Slowing down just a little.  Will continue to slow slightly until February 2017.
  • 220 single family homes went under contract this past week. Median LIST price $249k, $121/sqft.  11 under $100k. 4 over $1M, 2 of those over $2M. Median 26 CDOM. Median Yr Blt 1999
  • 7 (3%) of 220 single family homes that went under contract this past week were BANK OWNED FORECLOSURES or SHORT SALES.  Another 12% new construction.  2 of 2 short sales in areas 31/32, 61-76
  • 25 island single family homes went under contract this past week.
